Norwood Seniors Network is seeking energetic part-time Caregivers to join our team!
We are located at 6009 N. Nina Ave Chicago, IL 60631 We are nestled in a historic district called Norwood Park on Chicago’s North side. We provide in-home care to clients living in and around the surrounding areas of Norwood Park. We are currently looking for both Come-and-Go and Live-In Caregivers. Our Caregivers provide in-home assistance in accordance with the written Care Plan for senior citizens contracted with Norwood Seniors Network. Clients’ needs may range from light housekeeping service to comprehensive assistance with the activities of daily living.
Duties:
Perform tasks for client as indicated on written care plan. Tasks may include, and are not limited to: light housekeeping; transporting the client in the caregiver or the Norwood Seniors Network vehicle; running errands for the client; reminding the client to take medications from a pre-filled med-minder; providing bathing assistance; foot care; hair care; oral/denture care; shaving; toileting assistance; continence care; nail care (no cutting); transferring assistance; meal preparation, serving, and clean-up; and companionship.
Qualifications:
Preferred CNA certification in the state of Illinois, but not required.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Able to read, write, speak and understand English
Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions and to accept constructive criticism.
Ability to deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
If applying for driver caregiver – State of Illinois driver’s license, in good standing.
If applying for driver caregiver – Good driving record (adequate to insurance company standards and without records that might be hazardous for a position that transports residents/individuals back and forth; will not have more than one moving violation within the past twelve months)
Hourly Pay Rate: $10.25/hr (come-and-go), $156.00/day (live-in)
