Northwest Highway - Vision Statement

This is how the Northwest Highway Revitalization Task Force has defined the future of Norwood Park's major throughway:

The Northwest Highway commercial corridor is a pedestrian friendly destination for shoppers of all ages. It is composed of a balanced mix of residenttial, retail, restaurant and service uses which serve local residents and visitors. Its retail core is centered on the historic, actively used Norwood Park Train Station and the adjacent Centennial Park. The commercial corridor is a mix of well maintained historic character buildings and complimentary new buildings accented with attractive, consistent signage, landscaping and adequate parking.
