Our newspapers have been serving the Far Northwest Side of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs since 1940. Publisher Glenn Nadig, a graduate of Steinmetz High School, has been operating the newspapers for 50 years. His wife Bette served as co-publisher until she passed away in 1995. Their son Brian wrote his first news article for the PRESS 25 years ago and now operates the family business with his father.
Nadig Newspapers prides itself on being local – whether it’s the news or the ads. Area crime trends, politics, school news and zoning issues are some of the issues which are covered on a regular basis in Nadig Newspapers. In some cases, an article is about a redevelopment project on your block. In many cases, readers live within walking distance of their favorite advertisers.
Nadig Newspapers has a long history of caring about the community. We belong to a dozen local business and historical organizations. Glenn, Bette and Brian have each served as president of the Jefferson Park Chamber, overseeing community events and scholarship committees. We’ve also employed more than 5,000 neighborhood children as newspaper carriers. Many local business owners have proudly told us that their first job when they were growing up was delivering our papers.
During our nearly 70 years in business, we’ve been fortunate to have thousands of loyal readers and advertisers, giving us which we need to be successful. THANK YOU!
