Chamber Mission Statement

To provide leadership, visions and strategy to the business community in an attempt to foster economic growth and stability with its service area.

To act as liaison between city and state agencies.

To speak as a single voice on behalf of its members.

To plan and create an environment in which business can flourish.

To provide assistance to member organizations.

Chamber Goals

Install a three-tier fountain either in Centennial Park or Crescent Park.

Complete and finalize plans for the restoration of Railway Gardens.

Complete the renovation of the Norwood Park Train Station.

Lease the rental space at the Norwood Park Trains Station to an anchor business.

Install flower planters along Northwest Highway.

Increase parking availability along Northwest Highway in the downtown business area.

Select a site plan for increased parking at the Norwood Park Train Station.

Enlarge the fall Pumpkin Fest.

Enlarge the Farmers Market.

Install an electronic community bulletin board at the Raven and Avondale intersection.

Increase member benefits.

Increase Chamber membership.

Publish an annual newsletter report to members.

Increase our funding from the City of Chicago.

Beautify the Avondale/Raven ntersection.

Continue to work with the Alderman to invite new business into the Norwood Park business area.

Continue to serve the business community of Norwood Park.

Install a permanent Norwood Park Chamber of Commerce and Industry office in the Norwood Park Train Station.

Install a Norwood Park Chamber bulletin board to promote Chamber members in the Norwood Park Train Station.

Serve the industrial businesses along Northwest Highway.

Promote a healthy and strong economy in the Norwood Park community.

Creation of the Norwood Park web site.
